Kara and the studio

Kara Bussey is a Calgary-based stained glass artist, known for reimagining glass as both sculpture and statement. Blending traditional copper foil techniques with unconventional materials, her work pushes beyond flat panels into layered, dimensional forms - ranging from intricate botanical sculptures to wearable glass pieces seen on runways and in contemporary exhibitions. With 25 years of experience, her popular social media presence (@glimpseglass), and her book, Stained Glass for Beginners, Kara loves introducing new eyes to the magic of glass.

All in-person workshops take place at my studio in NVRLND Arts Foundation at  1048 21 Ave SE, Calgary, AB. Note that the studio is accessed by one floor of stairs. If you have any questions about accessibility or any special accommodations, please reach out and ask! I'm happy to help.

  • Late Cancellations: At the sole discretion of Glimpse Glass Inc., Cancellations made less than 7 days before the class are non-refundable, but we will gladly offer you a credit toward a future class.

  • No-Shows: If you do not show up for your scheduled class without prior notice, your registration fee is non-refundable.

  • Ticket Transfers: Tickets are fully transferable! If you cannot attend a class and are past the cancellation window, you are welcome to send a friend or family member in your place. Please email us their name ahead of time to kara@glimpseglass.ca
